With nearly 40 years in the Investment and Insurance business and the last 10 years in France, I’m Richard Bayle.
In 1999, I retired as UK General Manager of the Prudential, the UK’s largest insurance group and too young to retire, set up as a financial adviser and insurance broker in France. Working initially from home, I had by the end of 2006 offices in Toulouse, Eauze (Gers), Cap d’Agde (Herault) and of course my home in Pech Luna.
In April of 2007 my business merged with Siddalls and I joined the board of John Siddall Financial Services Ltd as Managing Director, and also the board of IFG (Siddalls parent company) as Operations Director.
After thinking about my future and the travelling necessary to fulfil my role in the UK, I made the decision that life was too short, the boat too far away and came back to France. Siddalls has released my business and I am free to again advise residents of France and those coming to live with us. It’s still a great place to live!
I am one of a very few British insurance advisers actually qualified in France. I have the International Financial Planning Certificate, awarded by the Chartered Insurance Institute and also the UK Financial Planning Certificate.
I am a member of the British international Business Network Toulouse: (BiBNT) and I was elected President, in 2003 a post I held until 2005.
