Richard Bayle is an entrepreneur, sales management strategist and life coach.
A recognized authority on the psychology of leadership, negotiations and organizational turnaround, he has served as an advisor to companies around the world for more than 40 years.
He is a master of Goal Planning and achievement, “Thinking Outside the Box and real Brain Storming. Many companies have benefitted from his independent leadership of Brain Storming sessions.
In his mission to continually impact the lives of millions, Bayle has made headlines by success in the area of increasing sales by improving management structures and the very basics of management.
As a strong charity supporter, Bayle has headed up, The Reada Trust, a charity based in the UK with the concept of “drying out” alcoholics and returning them to the work place. In this role he has worked closely with employers of all sizes in recognising 'at risk' personnel and advising and putting in place appropriate support measures.
Chair of the Bracknell CrossRoads Scheme and joint chair of the Wokingham Crossroads schemes. CrossRoads is a charity supporting family carers; many of them children, offering respite care.
Bayle was for many years, a senior magistrate sitting on the Reading and Berkshire Bench (UK). As such he sat on the Family Division and was also involved in working with health care professionals attempting to remove the mentally ill from the criminal justice system.
In 2000, Richard quit the UK for a new life in France. As was typical at the time, he had little money after selling his home in the UK, all lost in mortgage, debts and the business of living.
He had sufficient to buy a house in a small village in the Languedoc and to renovate it to a high standard and that was it.
November 2000 with 32.00 euros in the bank and no real ability to speak French, Richard went back to basics and from a standing start, created a business that covered insurance sales, an English language school, a pension advisory business and a consultancy practice dealing with interaction and negotiation.
Richard had a goal, to buy his own yacht by 2006 and to sail the Atlantic in 2014 – both achieved.
From a standing start to a successful business, two homes, one in France the other in the Caribbean and a 41 foot yacht, in under 14 years, Richard understands goal achievement.

“Every one of your team that fails represents a failure of management. Because you have hired the wrong person, or failed to ascertain if they can do the job or failed to train them, or failed to support them.
The list is endless, but it is your failure not theirs”.
"An average person with average talents and ambition and average education, can outstrip the most brilliant genius in our society, if that person has clear, focused goals." - Mary Kay Ash
Goals are the starting point of success. A good start makes half the success.
Richard will demonstrate from his own experience the importance of goal setting and why we need to set goals.
“You will not pay a price for setting goals,
but you will pay a price for not setting them.”
Richard will take you through the practical steps of goal setting and help you to create and attain your top quality goals.
Some people don't set goals. What will happen if we don't set goals? I will show you in goal setting tips why people fail in real life. After hearing Richard, you, and your team will know the answers to the “why set goals” question.
Brain Storming was invented by Alex F. Osborn who began developing methods for creative problem-solving in 1939. He was frustrated by employees’ inability to develop creative ideas individually for ad campaigns. In response, he began hosting group-thinking sessions and discovered a significant improvement in the quality and quantity of ideas produced by employees. Osborn outlined his method in the 1948 book Your Creative Power in chapter 33, "How to Organize a Squad to Create Ideas".
The problem is that these sessions are inevitably led by the boss. This destroys the first rule:
“Reduce social inhibitions among group members”
Brainstorming sessions are better led by an outsider who does not know, or care about the hierarchy of the team or company and who can encourage wild ideas. Osborne knew that quantity breeds quality.
Richard has conducted many Brain Storming sessions for science based organisations as well as sales. He will make a difference to your team’s thinking and your results.

From only 32 euros in the bank to two homes, one in France and the other in the Caribbean plus a 41 foot yacht that he sailed across the Atlantic aged 67, all in fewer than 14 years, is a truly inspirational story. Proving that goal setting, effort and a positive mental attitude can produce extraordinary results.
It is a simple but effective message:
“If I can, you can. All you have to know
is what you want to achieve; then be prepared
for the effort it will require and to commit”
Richard has been a key note speaker for many conferences from insurance sales to aeroplane manufacturers, space explorers and universities. Bringing his early experiences to bear on today’s issues, he puts into simple language the steps for success. Oh and he can be quite funny as well.
“You have the capacity to do anything you want, to achieve anything you want, but first you have to know what you really want and recognise where you’re starting from”.
“You can’t begin to make a map to your destination unless you know where you want to go and where you are now”.
“Everyone has a need of a higher purpose”.
“Not everyone wants to be a millionaire, that doesn’t mean you’re a failure, just a realist”.

I’ve relied on Richard as a mentor and sounding board for 15+ years. I have always found his guidance to make a positive difference on how I engage with my clients and colleagues.
I first met Richard over half a century ago when we were students. We worked together in the eighties and nineties. We have kept in touch since then so I think I can claim to know the man as well as anybody.
He has always demonstrated an entrepreneurial flair which, coupled with a sound business mind and exceptional leadership abilities, has resulted in a number of successful projects.
His transatlantic voyage is evidence of his adventurous spirit and willingness to adapt to new, even uncomfortable situations.
He is a motivator, a businessman, a grafter, an experimenter but above all a good bloke.

SELARL BRIGHT AVOCATS
Registered with the Bar of Toulouse and practicing
as an Avocat (French lawyer) since 1999.
I have known Richard for over 15 years and during this time, I worked with him on a regular basis frequently referring my clients to him when they needed additional business start-up advice in France and in particular to employee benefits. These consultations were carried out in France, often at my firm’s offices in Toulouse and in my company.
I have no hesitation in recommending Richard to my clients and continue so to do. His “can do” attitude and solution finding expertise is second to none and all done in a language that is easily understood. There is no negative with Richard it is all about the positive.
Ex Managing Director of BAE Systems (Regional Aircraft)
In my role as Managing Director of BAE Systems (Regional Aircraft) France, I appointed Richard to assist in the process of closure of the BAE Systems French company by helping our employees in France with their futures and the decisions involving their careers.
Richard approached this difficult operation with a very positive attitude that transmitted itself to BAE employees who learned to see the closure as a new phase in their lives and not an ending.
Richard’s pragmatic, open and honest approach, inspired belief and turned uncertainty into opportunity. The operation achieved it's objectives.
I would thoroughly recommend him to any business in a period of transition and change.
